Lunch-time Talk: Forgotten Female Novelists

Libby Tempest, current Chair of the Gaskell Society, has been doing some research into local female authors who followed in Elizabeth Gaskell’s footsteps 10-30 years after her death. Were these forgotten women novelists of the north-west influenced by Elizabeth Gaskell, and why have they slipped into obscurity? Join us for this fascinating lunch-time talk to find out about these unsung writers.
