What's On

NEW Creative Writing Workshop

**** The January session has now sold out – spaces still available on other months ****

Inspired by our current exhibition, Household Commotion, this new creative writing course, led by poet Dr Rachel Sills, will run over five months, and give you the opportunity to try different forms of writing:

  • flash fiction
  • poetry
  • experimental writing
  • character sketch
  • monologue.

Session One, on January 23 will be Flash Fiction. Using the Victorian household objects, the histories of the House’s servants, and information on display in the House as inspiration, you will write your own piece of flash fiction, and – if you wish – share it with the group for feedback.

Drop in for one of these evening sessions or come to all five. £5 per session. Book via the link below. The workshop will be limited to 15 people per session.

The Tea Room will be open during the break, serving a selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes and crisps.
