Story and Play: Dear Zoo

I wrote to the zoo to send me a pet…

Join us every second Wednesday of the month* in the Servants’ Hall from 11-12pm for self-led stories and play for under-fives. Enjoy reading a story, playing with toys and creating some colourful story-related art or craft. September’s story is Rod Campbell’s time-honoured favourite Dear Zoo. Open the cages, lift the lids and peer inside the baskets of this exciting and interactive book to see the wildly unsuitable array of pets the zoo sends to the book’s narrator in response to his request for a new pet…

Usual admission applies (tickets last for 12 months and under 16s are free).

No need to book – just turn up.

There is free parking for up to three hours on the road next to the House and we are right next to Swinton Grove Park and play area.
