Story and Play: Handa’s Surprise

Join us every second Wednesday of the month* in the Servants’ Hall from 11-12pm for self-led stories and play for under-fives. Enjoy reading a story, playing with toys and creating some colourful story-related art or craft. July’s story is fun family favourite Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne. Follow Handa as she takes a walk to visit her friend with seven different juicy and delicious fruit in her basket. But will the colourful fruit make it past the collection of animals Handa encounters on her journey…

Usual admission applies (tickets last for 12 months and under 16s are free).

No need to book – just turn up.

There is free parking for up to three hours on the road next to the House and we are right next to Swinton Grove Park and play area.
