Creative Writing Workshop: Monologue (II)

Join us for the final workshop in our course, where you’ll use the House’s history to bring to life one of it’s former inhabitants through a fictionalised monologue. Using information and objects on display in the Household Commotion exhibition, you’ll write a 10-minute monologue by one of the Gaskell family’s servants. You’ll have the chance to add your finished monologue to the House’s collection of Pen Portraits –  a series of fictionalised monologues by members of the Gaskell family and their circle, and performed for visitors by our House volunteers.
