Just a short distance from Oxford Road and Manchester city centre sits the former home of Manchester’s most famous Victorian writer, Elizabeth Gaskell. This beautifully restored historic house offers a variety of spaces for any event. Our purpose-built seminar rooms are ideally suited to a meeting, workshop, away-day or conference, offering a unique and inspiring backdrop for your event.
We can accommodate up to 35 delegates per room, depending on the layout. Each space includes a deluxe screen for your presentations, flip charts and hearing loops.
Our servants’ hall and garden are perfect breakout spaces, subject to availability.
We have a variety of refreshment and catering options available.
The house is fully accessible and disabled parking is available on-site.

Review
“Lucy was brilliant throughout the process, always clear, helpful and polite. We felt like welcome guests. The room was set out beautifully. It was comfortable, with water jugs and a great range of teas. Booking for a day when the tea room was open was a real plus – the team loved the cakes!”
