Summer Evening Cello Concert Fundraiser

“It is the closest instrument to the human voice, and the things you can do on the cello… there are endless possibilities” Stjepan Hauser

Join us for a wonderful summer evening’s cello concert, and help us to raise funds for Elizabeth Gaskell’s House.

Talented Royal Northern College of Music cellist Lucinda Neil and ensemble will perform a programme of chamber music, featuring works by Boccherini, Boismortier and Popper, in our elegant Drawing Room, where you’ll have the chance to listen to the mellifluous tones of our own grand piano, which will be played during the concert.

All proceeds will go towards the continued upkeep and development of the House.

We've got a house...it certainly is a beauty...I must try and make the house give as much pleasure to others as I can.’
