You can renew your membership or join the Friends in three different ways by clicking on the buttons below. You will be redirected to Go Cardless to make and set up Direct Debit and one-off payments.
After you have made your payment, you will be asked to complete a form to confirm Gift Aid, opt-in email permissions and to acknowledge that as a Friend of Elizabeth Gaskell’s House you are legally responsible for £1 in the unlikely event that the charity has to be dissolved.
You can opt out of emails at any time and can contact us directly to change your Gift Aid status at anytime during your membership.
Opt-ing into Gift Aid means that Elizabeth Gaskell’s House can reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation made by a UK taxpayer. This extra 25% comes from the Government and doesn’t cost you anything. Claiming Gift Aid can make the difference between being able to deliver activity or not at the House so please to opt-in if you are able.
We now use GoCardless to take online payments. GoCardless is a trusted and approved online payment provider, regulated by Financial Conduct Authority. They are a national company used by many museums, galleries and charities.
If you are not based in the UK you will need your International Bank Account Number (IBAN) to set up a recurring payment. If you don’t have this information we recommend doing to one-off payment of £25.
Annual Direct Debit for £25 per year
Payments will be collected annually on the anniversary of when you first sign up. There is no need to worry about renewing which saves time and money and Elizabeth Gaskell’s House benefits from regular denotations. We can also claim an additional £6.25 per year if you opt-in to Gift Aid.
Monthly Direct Debit for £3 per month
Payments will be collected monthly. There is no need to worry about renewing which saves time and money for the House. Elizabeth Gaskell’s House benefits from regular denotations. We can also claim an additional £9 per year if you opt-in to Gift Aid.
One off payment of £25
Make a one off payment and you will be notified via email when your membership ends. We can also claim an additional £6.25 if you opt-in to Gift Aid.
