Edward Lear’s Stuff And Nonsense

Owls, Pussycats, and No End of Nonsense!

Join us for a fun-filled theatrical event with a difference! Enjoy an audience with Mr Edward Lear, King of the Nonsense Rhyme and Loopy Limerick, courtesy of esteemed practitioners of theatrical Victoriana, Don’t Go Into The Cellar.

Runcible spoons at the ready? Let Mr Lear entertain you with terribly tall tales about his life and times – the fantastic folk and the fabulous flora and fauna he encountered along the way – and his own inimitable philosophy of life. Oh, and a certain owl and a particular pussycat are guaranteed to be part of the proceedings!

Prepare to be entertained by the wonderful word-play of Edward Lear in this new one-man show which mingles the madcap writer’s much-loved works with music and multi-roleplay. And maybe a little audience participation too…

We've got a house...it certainly is a beauty...I must try and make the house give as much pleasure to others as I can.’
