Halloween Lunch-time Talk: Elizabeth Gaskell’s Gothic Tales

Get into the Halloween spirit and join us for a lunch-time talk on Elizabeth Gaskell’s gothic tales, with Dr Diane Duffy.

Mysterious vanishings, eerie old buildings, windswept moors and ghostly goings-on: Elizabeth Gaskell’s goosebump-inducing gothic stories are a far cry from the gritty Manchester novels with which she’s often associated.

Come along at 1pm to find out more about these dark and decidedly spine-tingling tales!

Elizabeth Gaskell’s House is run by Manchester Historic Buildings Trust (charity no. 1080606) and all money gained through private tours, talks, room hire and ticket sales goes towards the ongoing maintenance and running costs of the House.
