This year, the magazine Lancashire Life celebrates its 70th birthday. To celebrate this, Lancashire Life will show 70 objects from heritage venues across Lancashire’s County Palatine between September and November.
We, at Elizabeth Gaskell’s House, would like to nominate an object to be considered for the final 70 – and we want your help choosing which one!
We have narrowed our selection to 6 that we think are important to both us and the history of Lancashire. Follow the link to the survey below for full descriptions and images of the objects for you to ponder– and do get in touch if you would like to discover more about a particular object.

It is then over to you to decide which one will be nominated for possible inclusion in the final 70 objects.
We also have voting forms at the house if you would like to visit and see the objects for yourself first.
Voting closes at midnight on Thursday 26 January 2017. We look forward to finding out which one you choose!
