Following the Government’s advice to avoid all non-essential contact we have taken the decision to close Elizabeth Gaskell’s House to the public from Tuesday 17 March until further notice.
Our highest priority is to safeguard the welfare of our staff, volunteers and visitors, as well as to help mitigate the spread of the virus where we can. Given the current situation, we believe this is right course of action to take.
All public open days, talks, private tours and workshops for March, April, May and June 2020 have been cancelled or postponed.
Individuals who have pre-booked for workshops will be contacted via email in the next week and those with weddings booked for April, May and June will also be contacted.
If you have any questions or haven’t heard from us please see below for relevant contact information.
Staff not be available during the time. For urgent and emergency enquiries please contact the Chair of Trustees – francisgalvin@btinternet.com
Thank you for your continued support and we will see you in the summer!
